A 39-year-old man, suspected of raping a disabled octogenarian at his home in La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis) Wednesday, May 3, was indicted for "aggravated rape". He was placed in provisional detention Thursday, May 4, learned Le Figaro from a judicial source, confirming information from the Parisian.
The accused, born in Algeria and homeless, was arrested the day after the facts by the police. He is suspected, along with another suspect still at large, of breaking into the home of an 83-year-old disabled woman and raping her, before stealing a €50 note and fleeing. It was the octogenarian's caregiver who raised the alarm. The victim was taken to hospital.

The second suspect is actively sought by law enforcement.
Just a few hours after these facts, a 20-year-old woman was raped in the street in the same department, this time in Drancy. For these facts, an investigation was opened for "rape" and entrusted to the departmental judicial police service of Seine-Saint-Denis. The suspect is also still at large.
