Leaders of Together for Change pointed to the figure of Javier Milei for the defeat in La Rioja of candidate Felipe Álvarez, who came in second place almost 20 points behind Ricardo Quintela, the governor who won re-election with 50.63 percent of the votes.
Gerardo Morales, president of the Radical Civic Union and presidential candidate, criticized the leader of La Libertad Avanza for having supported Martin Menem, who came third in Sunday's election with 15.56 percent of the vote.
"In La Rioja, the role of Milei ended up serving to continue governing the caste, because the truth made us lose the election with Álvarez that is renewal of politics," he said on La Red radio. And he chided it with the fact that in Jujuy he only obtained 3.5% of the votes.

"Beware of deception. That's why I say that for me Milei, and what she projects for the country, is a great deception for Argentines," Morales added.
Álvarez, the Riojan candidate of JxC, also complained through social networks about the role played by the libertarian leader. "Milei plays for the national government," he said on Twitter, a few hours after his defeat.
JxC deputy Silvia Lospennato was another of the leaders who blamed Milei for the defeat in the elections, which marked Quintela's re-election.
"Those who came to fight the caste have just given 4 more years to those who already governed 40 years in La Rioja. More functional is not achieved," the legislator tweeted.
Sunday's election day in La Rioja was also marked by the cross-denunciations between Menem and the opposition coalition in the province.
The current Riojan provincial deputy for La Libertad Avanza denounced before the Electoral Justice because they "hid the votes" and pointed to a candidate of Together for Change for this maneuver.
Despite the electoral result that relegated him to third place, when a better performance of the Libertarian candidate in the province was expected, Menem highlighted the growth in votes from the last election to the recent one.
"In November 2021 we got 16,800 votes. A year and a half later we are close to exceeding 30,000 votes," he celebrated on his Twitter account.
