Following Diplomat, which raised prices by double digits and is responsible for importing products such as Milka chocolate, Jacob coffee, Hinch ketchup and more, and the increase in the prices of dairy products, the giant importer Shastowitz announces an increase in the prices of some of its products.
Shastowicz raises prices by up to 15 percent. For example, Pompadour products will increase by 10 percent, Barilla products by 10 to 15 percent, and Master Chef products by 6.4 to 12.6 percent. This increase includes some of the company's products and excludes Colgate products.
The company claims that the increase is due to a significant increase in prices by suppliers, which the company has absorbed so far, and due to the increase in the currency rate, which causes importers significant consequences.
According to the importer's publications, the price increase will take place in the coming weeks.

Significantly affected by increases in production prices
Mars, the importer of chocolate and confectionery brands, also announced a price increase. Mars is an importer of sneakers, M&M's, Twix, Bounty, Maltizers and Mars. In addition, it imports the gums: Orbit, Gum Five, Skittles, Gum Airways and Hobba Bova Gum.
Mars Wrigley Israel said in response: "In recent years, Mars products have been significantly affected by increases in the prices of production, logistics, raw materials and sea freight. Unfortunately, we are forced to reflect these increases in the prices of our products and update the price list of our chocolate and gum products, as is done in the various countries in which we operate. Out of sensitivity and consideration, we managed to postpone the price increase in Israel until after Passover. The increase will take effect on June 1."
