It is a unique place that has just opened in Lyon (Rhône) in the business district. His name? The Part-Dieu square. Located a few minutes' walk from the station, it displays its uniqueness on its large glass facades, dressed in the faces of religious figures who have marked Lyon life: John Paul II, Mother Teresa, Saint Irenaeus and Saint Blandine but also Abbé Pierre, "who was born in Lyon," recalls Mirco Iadarola, director of the Parvis Part-Dieu.
Owned by the diocese of Lyon, the coworking space houses 600 computer stations and meeting rooms for rent on 2 m12. The entrance hall serves as a reception area for a coffee and a meal, while a chapel of more than 200 m2 offers residents the opportunity to meditate. "We wanted to have a place that was a point of welcome, meeting and listening to anyone seriously involved in the world of work, and at the same time a place of Church," continues Mirco Iadarola.
"Thursday is Parvis!"
Here, entrepreneurs and railway workers meet, who have come to enjoy a time of spirituality. Every Thursday, a deacon is present. "We have a slogan: Thursday is Parvis! We start the day with the recitation of Lauds, followed by a coffee. Then, at 12:15 p.m., we meet for mass and a shared meal during which we discuss issues related to work, "says the director of the Parvis Part-Dieu.
