A Ukrainian truck driver (38) lost his temper on Tuesday at the closed railway barrier in Mitterdarching. So great was his anger at the driving behavior of a Fischbachauer that he got out and smashed the driver's window of the BMW.
Mitterdarching - It almost came to fisticuffs: A dispute between the driver of a semi-trailer truck and a BMW driver from Fischbachau threatened to escalate on Tuesday (May 9) in Mitterdarching (Valley municipality). The trigger was apparently an overtaking maneuver by the BMW, which enraged the truck driver.
According to the Holzkirchen police, the 38-year-old Ukrainian was traveling on Tuesday at around 9.45 a.m. with his tractor-trailer on state road 2073 from Mangfalltal in the direction of Mitterdarching. Immediately after the dip, the 57-year-old BMW driver overtook. A little later, both had to stop in front of the closed railway barrier in Mitterdarching.
According to police, the BMW driver did not want to wait, but tried to turn around to avoid the barrier on smaller roads. The truck driver, however, prevented this by placing his 40-tonne truck across the road. Apparently, the previous overtaking maneuver had annoyed him so much that he got out and wanted to confront the Fischbachauer. According to the police, there were allegedly mutual gestures of displeasure during the overtaking.
When the Fischbachauer saw the corpulent Ukrainian coming, he preferred to refuse to talk. This, in turn, annoyed the truck driver so much that he smashed the left side window of the BMW in anger. Damage: about 500 euros. The BMW driver then called the police.
A patrol drove to Mitterdarching and defused the situation. The truck driver, who, according to the police, does not speak german, but only broken English, took the patrol to the station in Holzkirchen. The 38-year-old is facing criminal proceedings for property damage and coercion. "After consultation with the Munich II public prosecutor's office, the man was released after the necessary measures," the police report said.
