The children's home, the connection to the Mammendorf sewage treatment plant and the construction area are a burden on the municipality's budget.

Hattenhofen – To ensure that the reserves do not have to be used up completely, two more plots are to be sold in the Haspelmoor-Ost construction area. The municipal council unanimously approved the 200-page budget.

This year's administrative budget has a volume of 3.8 million euros, the capital budget of 4.1 million euros. The contribution to the capital house household amounts to 377,510 euros. The focus of the asset budget continues to be on the financing of completed projects: children's home and sewage treatment plant. But some bills are also expected from the construction area, treasurer Richard Furtmeier announced.

The children's home still has 800,800 euros to spend, but 300,000 euros in funding are still expected for this year. In addition, the municipality expects around 625,000 euros due to two land sales in the Haspelmoor-Ost construction area. "It would have been possible without the sale," said Mayor Franz Robeller (UWG Haspelmoor), "but then our reserves would be completely used up." At the end of 2022, reserves amounted to 1.3 million euros. After the withdrawal of 686,000 euros, 660,000 euros remained.

In the coming year, the reserves will increase slightly again due to expected subsidies, Furtmeier announced. The municipality's debt will decrease from 2.8 million euros to 2.5 million by the end of the year. Borrowing is not intended.

Income tax

The largest revenue in the administrative budget is income tax in the amount of 1.2 million euros. The income of the children's home of 539,900 euros does not cover the expenses of 880,000 euros. "That leaves about 340,000 euros for the community," said Robeller. The increase in expenditure is due to rising personnel costs due to the five percent wage increase. There is a precision landing in the costs of wastewater disposal, where income and expenditure are balanced at 538,890 euros each. Trade tax revenues of 460,000 euros rank fourth in the municipality. In addition, the municipality will receive 385,980 euros in key allocations.

On the other hand, however, the district also has to pay 909,199 euros in district levies, which have risen by almost 90,000 euros compared to the previous year. In addition, there is the levy of 321,270 euros to the Verwaltungsgemeinschaft (VG) Mammendorf. At 23 percent, the district levy continues to be the highest expenditure in the municipality's administrative budget.

"Despite the sharp rise in energy costs and the large investments in children's homes and wastewater disposal in recent years, the budget has been solidly positioned," Robeller sums up. Dm
