Following the killing of three senior Islamic Jihad figures Monday night, Iran called for measures against Israel in coordination with Arab countries.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a statement: "Tehran strongly condemns the Zionist aggression on the Gaza Strip, which led to the killing of three senior Islamic Jihad figures and innocent people. Today's Zionist aggression is intended to divert public opinion from its precarious internal situation and severe distress. Tehran emphasizes the need to take direct, deterrent and influential steps in coordination between Islamic countries in order to stop the Zionist murder apparatus."

At the same time, the Arab parliament, a representative body of the Arab League, issued a strong condemnation of the IDF's operation in the Gaza Strip. The Arab League called on the international community to "take responsibility and act to stop the repeated attacks on the Palestinian people who demand their legitimate rights in the establishment of an independent state."
The Arab parliament also called for an "end to Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip," stressing that "Israel's cruel acts against the Palestinian people confirm to the world that the Israeli occupation refuses to obey international resolutions, leading to further violence and instability."
