That was not a good idea: A Porsche driver wanted to avoid a police check - and crashed into a bus shelter shortly afterwards.
Fahrenzhausen - On the run from the police, a Porsche driver crashed into a bus shelter on Tuesday night. Officials of the PI Neufahrn had set up a checkpoint in Großnöbach (municipality of Fahrenzhausen). Shortly after midnight, a Porsche was to be stopped. But the driver fled at excessive speed and left the police behind who had taken up the pursuit.
Shortly thereafter, an accident was reported: the Porsche had driven into the bus shelter of a bus stop a few kilometers away, in Großeisenbach. When the police arrived at the scene of the accident, the Porsche was on site, but there was no trace of the driver. Search for the driver was unsuccessful.
Driver flees - and then turns himself in
At around 3 a.m., however, the driver turned himself in personally at PI Neufahrn. According to the police, an alcohol test showed 0.6 per thousand. The driver's license was seized, the Porsche – 35,000 euros in damage – had to be towed. The driver was not injured in the accident. Ft
