Sofia Tummo, 22, had been in critical condition since March 28. 'He grabbed her by the neck and threw her out the window. She grabbed a cable, but he looked at her and dropped her, her mother confirmed.

A 22-year-old man who had been in a coma for a month regained consciousness and was able to tell her version of events: she said her boyfriend beat her and threw her into the void from her apartment in La Plata. The alleged assailant, 23, was arrested and is charged with attempted murder.

On March 28, the victim, identified as Sofia Tummo, fell from a building located on 1st and 44th streets. People passing by on the street at that time notified 911 and then an ambulance from the Emergency Medical Care System (SAME) arrived, which rushed her to San Martín Hospital.

In that health center she was hospitalized in intensive care and critical condition for a month, until she woke up and regained consciousness. Then, she told what happened that night of the incident and accused her boyfriend, Facundo Lemos, of throwing her.

Initially, neighbors of the place had stated that they heard a previous argument and shouting between the couple. For his part, Lemos said that the young woman had thrown herself on her own in an attempt to take her own life.

The doubts ended once Tummo returned from the coma: she denied the version that her boyfriend had given to the police authorities and assured that he hit her several times until he pushed her into the void. His statement was accompanied in the case by medical reports and the accounts of some witnesses.

Once the woman made the complaint, the Justice ordered the immediate arrest of the man. He was intercepted as he left his home, located on Calle 8, between 634 and 635, and was arrested. He is charged with attempted murder.

The disclaimer of Sofia Tummo's mother: "She got to grab a cable, but he looked at her and dropped her"

After Sofia Tummo woke up and told her truth, her mother posted a video on social media to demand justice: "While my daughter was fighting for her life, they said she had thrown herself. She had bumps all over her body. Lemos, known as "drunk," beat her inside the apartment. He grabbed her by the neck and threw her out the window. Sofia grabbed hold of a cable, but he looked at her and dropped her."

"He didn't even go down to see her. When she came down, she took a taxi saying she was going to get an ambulance, delaying my daughter's medical attention," Guadalupe Espinoza Viale continued through tears.

Finally, he asked that Lemos pay for what he did: "The only thing I ask for is justice. We will continue to ask until they give you the maximum number of years that correspond. It is a femicide. Don't touch any woman again, pay for what he did to my daughter. Luckily he could remember what this son of a pu did to him..."
