For a rather unusual operation, the Pfronten mountain rescue had to move out on Sunday: A small car with summer tires was stuck on the Breitenberg.

Pfronten - What the two occupants wanted with the car on the Breitenberg and how they got there is still unclear. What is certain, however, is that the Pfronten mountain rescue service was alerted on Sunday evening with the message "Two people with small cars with summer tires got stuck on the Breitenberg". This is what the mountain rescuers report on their Facebook page.

According to the report, the emergency services then made their way to Breitenberg with the rescue vehicle to search for the affected persons. "After we were able to tow the car from a snowfield to the edge, we took the affected persons in the rescue vehicle into the valley," it continues. The car remained on the mountain for the time being.

In fact, on the Facebook page of the mountain rescue service, you can see the screenshot of a recording of a webcam showing a black car on the edge of a snowfield below the Ostlerhütte near the Breitenbergbahn. In the meantime, however, the vehicle has disappeared.

Woman threatens to slip on the Aggenstein

It was only on Friday that the Pfronten mountain rescuers were alerted, according to their own statements, because a hiker on the Aggenstein no longer dared to go back or forth, as she was in danger of slipping in a snowfield. "Due to inadequate equipment, the lady was stuck in fear on a residual snowfield and threatened to slip," says the mountain rescue service.

As a result, a rescue helicopter picked up two air rescuers at the landing stage of the St. Vinzenz Clinic in Pfronten and flew them to the scene. The woman was quickly recognized in the flyover and rescued from the situation by means of a rescue winch. The lady was unharmed.
