Journalists' Association: "The Attack on the News 13 Staff Is a Direct Result of the Blatant Incitement"
Communications Minister Shlomo Krei continues the attack on Channel 13 News, which in yesterday's headlines – at least as it is worded – accused Prime Minister Netanyahu of killing women and children during the military operation in Gaza. The promotion of the item – itself legitimate, which discusses the price paid by innocent people in Gaza for the targeted assassinations – was accompanied by a "writer" with the text "Prime Minister's approval: Women and children killed in night attack."
At the same time, the photograph was translated to Palestinian international websites as Zionist approval for war crimes.
Qari was asked today (Wednesday) by David Wertheim and Erel Segal on Radio 103 about Yedioth Ahronoth's handling of the issue, which also published a main headline about the number of innocents killed in Gaza, and chose to attack Channel 13 News again: "Anti-Semitism raises its head and we do not need to provide additional fire to the detractors of the State of Israel and the government of Israel. To write such an inciting and anti-Semitic sentence? That we supposedly encourage harm to innocent people when we are the most moral army in the world? It's collaborating with anti-Semitism and BDS."
Meanwhile, a short time ago a report was received that a reporter and a News 13 photographer were attacked with tear gas at Frishman Beach in Tel Aviv. Police officers from the Lev Tel Aviv Station Patrol motorcycle unit arrived at the scene. After searching the area, a 41-year-old Tel Aviv resident was arrested on suspicion of assault. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated, but according to sources on Channel 13, there is a direct connection between the incitement against the channel on the networks and the political attack against it – and the actions on the ground.

The journalists' organization said in response: "The attack on the News 13 team is a direct result of the blatant incitement that has been running since this morning on the networks and WhatsApp groups against News 13 and its journalists. As far as the instigators were concerned, the blood of the journalists was permitted. We expect the police to complete the simple investigation as soon as possible and file a serious and deterrent indictment that will send a sharp message to anyone who seeks to harm journalists."
