Dolphin parents use different methods than tiger parents or helicopter parents. Do some approaches sound familiar to you?
Kassel – How should the child grow up? Is it important to draw boundaries or leave freedom? For many parents, there are many different approaches. The long leash or the short cord, some think it means well, meanwhile the most diverse methods have the most diverse advantages and disadvantages. Dolphin parents have their own special approach.
Dolphin parents value compassion more than tiger parents
Dolphin parents trust their children, authority should be balanced with compassion and ensure that the children grow up confidently, but can also describe their feelings or problems. While tiger parents trim their offspring to success, even prescribe piano lessons on vacation or no grade at school generates satisfaction except a grade of "1", dolphin parents take a more gentle approach.
Dr. Shimi Kang wrote the book: "The Dolphin Parent - A Guide to Raising Healthy, and Self-Motivated Kids" and mentioned her approach and methods for balanced child education. Creativity, collaboration and communication are the be-all and end-all to adapt and succeed in ever-changing progress. Dolphin parents not only bluntly set rules and draw boundaries, they also explain why they exist

Dolphin parents are also different from helicopter parents
While, for example, tiger parents limit their children's free time. For example, Amy Chua, who authored the book "Battle Hymn of the Tiger Mother" in 2011, shared that her children would never go to a sleepover party with others. Dolphin parents give more freedom, which should also contribute to the unfolding and development of the child.
In this country, the model of helicopter parents is most often talked about, these are portrayed negatively. Parents are constantly buzzing around the child, have a view from above, control life, never leave it alone. All methods have their advantages and disadvantages and no one is told how the children are to be educated. In the past, we also reported on curling or lawnmower parents and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. (ank)
