Against the background of the security situation vis-à-vis the Gaza Strip, which is currently at a boiling point, the question arises whether this coming Saturday there will be a weekly demonstration by opponents of the reform against the government, or whether this time there will be a change and the organizers will cancel or postpone the planned demonstration.

We turned to the protest leaders who have been organizing the demonstrations in recent months: Roy Neumann, Shikma Bressler and Nadav Galon. The three noted that for now the plans are continuing as usual and there is no change regarding the demonstration. At the same time, the three explicitly stated that the plans could change at any moment and that everything depends on the security situation. "We are in constant contact with the police and if there is a change we will report it," Roy Neumann told Israel Hayom.
Nadav Galon also replied, noting that "we will be in contact with the police and will carry out their orders." Shikma Bressler, who in many ways became the face of the protest against the reform and against the government, joined her colleagues and told Israel Hayom: "It is absolutely clear that we will comply with the police's orders, but at the moment the plans are as usual."

It seems that the demonstration planned for this Saturday in Tel Aviv depends on the next 48 hours. If the situation escalates, it can be assumed that the demonstration will be canceled, but if there is calm and the general public can be allowed to gather widely, the protest movement against the reform and the government will operate as usual this Saturday as well.
Tomorrow, the police will assess the situation and determine whether it is possible to grant permission to hold the weekly demonstration on Kaplan Street. The Tel Aviv police said: "As long as there are no other instructions on the home front, there is no reason not to hold the protest."
