A fire broke out in an apartment in Nuremberg. Several people were injured, according to initial information, one person even seriously.
Update from May 11, 16:23 p.m.: The police have now corrected the number of injured upwards and speak of four people. An injured person was taken to a clinic by helicopter. The police also said that it was now assumed that the fire had broken out in the basement of the house.

First report from May 11: Nuremberg – A fire broke out in an apartment building in Nuremberg early Thursday afternoon, May 11. Several people were injured. According to initial findings, the police spoke of one seriously injured and three slightly injured with smoke poisoning.
The police also informed via Twitter about the fire brigade operation in Donaustraße, which was still underway in the afternoon. Around 60 residents were reported at the address, said a spokeswoman for the Middle Franconia police headquarters.
The cause of the fire was initially unclear. The police asked to drive around the area around the scene of the fire in the south of the city. The fire was reported, therefore, around 14.15 p.m.
