The film is a sequel to Netflix's Rescue Missionin Spanish-Speaking Countries, released in April 2020.

He is set on fire as he fights, beating up a bunch of prisoners in the snow in a new Netflix movie.

Chris Hemsworth returns as action man Tyler Rake in Netflix's Extraction 2, the sequel to Netflix's Rescue Missionin Spanish-Speaking Countries. Director Sam Hargrave and producers Joe and Anthony Russo (those of the last Avengers), also known as the Russo brothers, did not mince words and set fire directly to Hemsworth.

What?! It was as part of a "massive 20-minute action" sequence. First it must be said that despite everything, Chris is still alive.

Speaking to Empire Magazine, Hargrave explained that the Thor star went out of his way to help make this massive action sequence something ultra special. That included lighting his arm on fire over and over again during a fight, a scene that was teased in the film's trailer.

Chris Hemsworth at one point in the original film, released in April 2020, in the midst of the pandemic.

Here's what Hargrave had to say about it: "For me, the image of Chris Hemsworth beating up a bunch of prisoners, while burning in the snow was something I couldn't pass up. And kudos to Chris: he had to do it again and again. I don't know many people, let alone Hollywood celebrities, who allow you to set them on fire while you're in front of the camera."

According to the specialized media Film, it was not Hemsworth's complete body or anything like that, but the dangers were very latent. "If the wind blows in the wrong direction, the money maker is here," Hargrave joked. "We had a lot of different jackets prepared for him, with different layers. But we turned on Chris Hemsworth and he hit a bunch of guys all night. It was pretty amazing to watch."

Screenplay by a Russo

Joe Russo wrote the script for the sequel to the 2020 hit, and he did so with the intention of surpassing the above. The massive 20-minute action sequence that Hemsworth set himself on fire for was described as "the craziest in the history of cinema" in the script. Since the first film already had a pretty crazy one-take action sequence, this was no easy task.

Now the "Thor" actor must rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from prison.

"It's an insane enterprise," Hargrave explained to Empire. "It travels miles of terrain over the course of the sequence and many minutes of time. It's very ambitious." While the filmmaker admitted that they didn't actually make it in one take (which would be logistically impossible), he said it will be presented as a long sequence with natural cut points.

"We built certain junction points where we could generate the sequence plane effect. But in those broken pieces you still have sequences that will last between 30 seconds and a minute and a half. Sometimes there are 50, 60, 75 moves in a row." He said it was filmed at night with dozens of specialists. And in the middle of winter. "Chris had red ears and a red nose because he was freezing."

Principal Hargrave, the same as the former, said: "We turned Chris on and he beat up a bunch of guys all night. It was pretty amazing to watch."

Extraction 2 arrives on Netflix on June 16. Here is the synopsis of the film:

Chris Hemsworth returns as Tyler Rake in the sequel to the hit Netflix action film Extraction. After barely surviving the events of the first film, Rake returns as the Australian mercenary tasked with another deadly mission: to rescue the battered family of a ruthless Georgian gangster from the prison where they are uncomfortably housed.
