The Greens in Wartenberg are frustrated with the handling of a solar cadastre application at the district level. There is talk of "blocking" and "preventing". The local association has elected a new board of directors.

Wartenberg – The Greens in Wartenberg have reappointed their board at their annual general meeting in the Gasthaus Reiter, but left the top positions unchanged: Melanie Falzetta and Dominik Rutz remain spokesmen for the local association after the unanimous election under the leadership of district spokeswoman Annett Burghardt. The secretary is Christian Köhler. The assembly appointed Dagmar Sticha, Roberto Münch and Martina Scheyhing as assessors.

In her annual report, of course, Falzetta could not omit the fact that Wartenberg is also facing the hot phase of the election campaign: "There are special times ahead." According to its report, the regulars' tables, which the party regularly offers, will be "renewed in the structures". In concrete terms, this means that on every first Monday in the even-numbered months at 19 p.m. in the Gasthaus Reiter, these regulars' tables are held under a special prepared theme. So the next one will be on June 6th. The topic will be announced in good time.

There are three Greens in the market town council. According to their report, this is a real challenge for the elected representatives, especially in view of the fact that they want to be present at as many events as possible.

Dominik Rutz added that the Greens were also feeling the effects on the ground that they were now in government responsibility at the federal level and thus, of course, increasingly criticized. He saw his main topic of climate policy as weakly represented, especially at the district level: "Here it is blocked, prevented, not implemented." The fact that the application to create a solar potential register is not even being dealt with is no longer acceptable: "We have lodged a complaint."

Falzetta spoke of the "sad budget" in her report. In the case of Strogenstraße, for example, they voted against the "price-intensive accessories", but of course they did not reject the necessary road rehabilitation itself. "We have always focused on the financial situation."

Dominik Rutz added, however, that not all information on the budgetary situation had been available with the necessary speed and completeness. The Group of the Greens/European Free Alliance has three speakers, and there have also been brief reports from these areas of activity.

A key topic in the local political discussion was the local heating supply and the associated connection costs. These were considered to be significantly too high. Comparative figures from the Langenpreisingen district of Zustorf were used, where, according to a report from the meeting that has not yet been confirmed, 6000 euros are called, while five-digit amounts are to be expected in Wartenberg.
