Wörthsee – The Wörthsee municipal library is opening up its newly created space in the former non-fiction area for new offerings.
Starting in May, IT consulting for the elderly will be offered. This is made possible by five volunteers who spontaneously responded to a call. The consultants have experience in imparting digital know-how, as they regularly support older people even in their private lives. It's often the little things that drive not only seniors to despair: suddenly the mobile phone "goes crazy", attachments cannot be opened or saved, questions about mobile phone pictures, storage space, uploading and downloading, but also how to use the library app and e-boo readers. Some things can only be done online and many older people fall by the wayside. The aim of the initiative is to provide support in the most uncomplicated way possible and to pass on information that can be useful.

In this way, the municipal library fulfils its general educational mission. Access to media should be made accessible to everyone and, above all, older people must not be left behind in the digital world. The library is not just a media lending station, but an educational space and a cultural meeting place. The premises in the library are ideal for such an offer - and if you like, you can also borrow books, magazines or audio books on site.
The service is free of charge, but donations are requested. Registration for the estimation of demand is desired, but not mandatory, at info@gemeindebuecherei-woerthsee.de

The first two dates have already been set: Monday, May 15, 16 to 17:30 p.m. and Monday, June 12, 16 to 17:30 p.m. in the library, Seestraße 20, in Wörthsee.
