As Javier Mascherano's team prepares for the Under-20 World Cup in Argentina, FIFA released the official theme of the tournament. This is the song "Glorious", the work of the Indonesian electronic music trio Weird Genius, who performs it together with the young Lyodra, Tiara Andini and Ziva Magnolya.
This theme presents a curiosity: it was created by a group from Indonesia, since it was originally going to host the Under-20 World Cup. But FIFA withdrew the Asian country as host due to extra-sporting conflicts and there was no time to change, also, the singer-songwriters of the theme of the World Cup that will be played from May 20 to June 11.
Regarding the authors, it is Weird Genius, a musical group that has more than 2.2 million subscribers on YouTube, has won three AMI (Anugerah Musik Indonesia) awards, and its song "Lathi" was the most searched Indonesian song on Google in 2020.
The members are three stars of Indonesian music: Lyodra, Tiara Andini and Ziva Magnolya. In fact, their albums and singles have gone viral on many occasions and usually reach the top of the chartsof different music and streaming platforms.
