Osama Marwat, a 26-year-old man from Nazareth, was shot to death Friday evening on Tawfiq Ziad Street in the city. It appears that Marwat's murder was carried out as part of the brutal conflict between the criminal organizations in Kari Hariri, which has already claimed the lives of about 20 people. According to the Abraham Initiatives, since the beginning of the year, 76 Arab citizens have been murdered in circumstances related to violence or crime. The Hariri crime organization is currently one of the dominant and powerful criminal organizations in Israel. Haifa District Court Judge Amir Tobi recently noted in a sentencing that the Hariri family members "have a reputation for being violent people who use force, threats and intimidation to motivate people to do or refrain from acting, and mentioning the names of the Hariri family members has a terrifying effect."

They are active in the Sharon region and the north, and their power centers are Jaljulia and um al-Fahm. From there they send arms all over the country. Their activity is evident in the field of extortion, threats and other areas of crime, and the enormous wealth of its leaders has also been directed to legitimate and semi-legitimate areas such as currency conversions, forex investments in foreign currencies, online gambling and even high-tech, in Israel and Europe, and recently also in South Africa.

But it has also placed them at the center of disputes over areas of control, deals gone awry, and an endless cycle of terror of blood feuds and more blood vendettas for blood feuds. In recent years, there have also been bloody conflicts within different factions of the family. Despite considerable efforts, the police find it difficult to cope with the activities of criminal organizations in Arab society, including Hariri.
