At the Book Fair, the World Cup fever does not stop either. After almost six months of the consecration in Qatar 2022, the books about Leo Messi and the Argentine National Team world champion generate furor in the visitors. One of the most precious jewels in La Rural.
Having a book with Lionel Messi lifting the Cup, Dibu Martínez in the goal or the football displayed by La Scaloneta is like keeping a treasure for life. Some are part of the public's preferences and are the main engine of sales at the Fair, exhibitors explain.
Clarín Cultura toured the stands and chose 10 books about Argentina World Champion in Qatar 2022. Where are they, what do they contain and how much do they cost? For all tastes, pockets and different generations of readers.

1. "La Scaloneta"
It is a special book published by Libro Fútbol (anonymous author) where he reviews the consecration of the Argentine National Team in Qatar 2022. It comes with photos, technical sheet and descriptions of each player of La Scaloneta and tactical analysis of key plays of the Albiceleste team during the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
The most curious thing is that there are six different covers but the content is the same: fans can take this copy with the cover of Messi, "Dibu" Martínez, Rodrigo De Paul, Enzo Fernández with the Chelsea shirt, Julián Álvarez with the Manchester City shirt or choose Alejandro Garnacho (one of the young promises but did not play the World Cup) with the Manchester United shirt on the cover. This book is one of the best sellers of stand 93 (Blue Pavilion) and costs 5,990 pesos.
2. "The End of All Time"
Also from Libro Fútbol, it was published by journalists Pablo Vignone and Adrián De Benedictis, who describe the duel between Leo Messi and Frenchman Kylian Mbappé and the dramatic final on December 18, 2022 in which Argentina won on penalties to achieve the third star. The authors also detail the path of the National Team towards the conquest of the World Cup. The price? 5,990 pesos.
3. "Messi Champion"
This book seeks to leave testimony of the technical and tactical state of current football at its best, starting with the coronation of the most complete footballer on the planet in the XXI century, whose leadership led the Argentine National Team to its third world star. "With his performance, at the age of 35, Lionel Messi settled debates and open discussions for a long time and closed a transcendent chapter of the future of football," says Pablo Vignone in his recent creation, also of Libro Fútbol. It costs 5,500 pesos.
The pearl: in Libro Fútbol there is a gigantography of Leo with the Cup, one of the main attractions of the stand to take photos and selfies of all kinds with the Argentine captain.

4. "Messianic"
In this "complete and revealing" biography, Sebastián Fest and Alexandre Juillard trace the origins of the greatest Argentine idol until his consecration in Qatar 2022.
In addition, they break down unknown aspects and intimacies of a life and an unparalleled career of Leo Messi, author of more than 800 goals in his career and owner of almost all possible records: World Champion in Qatar at age 35, the only one with the greatest World Cup presences and top scorer of the Argentine National Team with more than 100 goals, among other records. This great book from Penguin Random House contains 416 pages and costs 8,099 pesos.

5. "Dibu Martinez. Passion for football"
This book is all the rage at Penguin Random House and the best seller in the children's category of booth 1017 of the Fair (Green Pavilion). Here, the goalkeeper, one of the figures of the Argentine National Team to win "the third" in Qatar and one of the great idols of the youngest, reviews his history and explains his secrets to reach success under the three sticks.
"The ball was always my great companion, often firm in my hands," Dibu reveals in his presentation. His signature is accompanied by the number 23 of his shirt that consecrated him as the best goalkeeper in the world according to FIFA. The illustrations are Leo Bouzicco. It costs $3,500 pesos.

6. "The Third"
Journalists Gastón Edul and Alejandro Wall tell from inside and outside, how the Argentine National Team and Leo Messi won the World Cup in Qatar. "It's sold like crazy!" said a saleswoman from Planeta (booth 917, Green Pavilion). The book comes with a poster of the world champions. The price? 5,000 pesos.
7. "Gaturro. Qatar 2022 World Cup"
In this book for children, Nik tells Argentina's path to the World Cup through a selection of comics and statistical data from the Qatar World Cup. It was published by Catapulta (stand 1420, Yellow Pavilion) and costs 2,400 pesos.
8. "Gaturro. Champions!"
Again, the adventures of the most famous cat and his comics during the World Cup in Qatar, where Argentina won "the third". The book, also published by Catapulta, costs 2,400 pesos.
The yapa: the boys will be able to take a picture with Leo Messi illustrated raising the Cup in the mural of Catapulta, behind the stand.

9. "Messi. World Champion"
The illustrated story of Leo Messi: his beginnings in the lower divisions of Newell's Old Boys, his golden era at FC Barcelona until the consecration with the Argentine National Team in Qatar 2022. The book also contains questions and answers so that the children can play, have fun with trivia and get to know their great idol even more. It was also published by Catapulta and costs 3,290 pesos
10. "I want to be world champion"
A real book, with comics made by more than 30 different illustrators. Each in their own style, they describe La Scaloneta's path to glory in Qatar. The book tells the story of a family that dreams of Argentina lifting the Cup: a girl, her father and her grandfather while accompanying the Stalleta in each game.
On the cover is Messi kissing the Cup, "Dibu", Scaloni, Otamendi, Di Maria and Julian Alvarez. The screenplay is by Luciano Saraccio. "It is the best seller by far," says the cashier of Ovni Press (stand 309, Blue Pavilion), dedicated to the publication of comics. It costs 6,500 pesos.
11. Bonus track: Maradona
Maradona also says present at the Book Fair 2023. Murales de D10S is a creation of Nicolás Reyes and Máximo Randrup, who rescue all possible murals in homage to Diego Armando Maradona (1960-2020). A moving remembrance of "The Greatest" through art around the world.
There are paintings of Diego with the shirt of the Argentine National Team, Argentinos Juniors, Boca, Barcelona, Napoli and also with Newell's with Messi in Rosario, among other urban works. This gem of Libro Fútbol costs 13,990 pesos.

Finally, in Basílico (stand 608, Blue Pavilion) you can buy the complete Panini album of the World Cups in Argentina '78, Mexico '86, Italy '90, United States '94, France '98 and Germany 2006, among others. Instead of the figus, it contains images of all the squads in the World Cups and comes out 1,000 pesos. There is also a promo of three albums for 2,500 pesos. Ideal for collectors and fans.
