His successor was – as he himself said – "desperate search" local councillor Roland Lübeck. The 59-year-old Heene from Breitbrunn took off politically in 2013. In 2017 she became chairwoman, in 2019 mayoral candidate and had a short guest appearance in the municipal council after the local elections in 2020.

The former CSU leader Fromuth Heene is withdrawing from local politics. His successor, Roland Lübeck, only stepped in after much deliberation. About a meeting after which almost everyone went home with an office.

Herrsching – For health reasons, Fromuth Heene is relinquishing the chairmanship of the CSU Herrsching after eight years. She was no longer available at the annual meeting of the local association. His successor was – as he himself said – "desperate search" local councillor Roland Lübeck.

The 59-year-old Heene from Breitbrunn took off politically in 2013 when she took over the chairmanship of the Women's Union in Herrsching and quickly distinguished herself as a good networker for the CSU local association. In 2017 she became chairwoman, in 2019 mayoral candidate and had a short guest appearance in the municipal council after the local elections in 2020. After one year, she resigned her mandate for professional reasons and in the same year handed over the presidency of the Women's Union to Daniela Daiker. After eight years, she was no longer up for election on Wednesday as chairman of the CSU in Herrsching.

At the Brauhaus Herrsching, Heene looked back on all the events, on all the guests – whose names read like a "who's who" of security policy. Most recently, she even succeeded in bringing Luftwaffe chief Ingo Gerhards to Herrsching. In the area of security and foreign policy, she remains in her element after reviving the CSU working group of the same name in the district three years ago. However, she is withdrawing from local politics, apart from her position as secretary of the Women's Union – where it all began.

Roland Lübeck, since 2008 for the CSU in the municipal council, said immediately after his election that from now on there will be "a slimmed-down version". He wants to bring the local association with his deputies Tina Reich, Thomas Bader and Daniela Daiker into conversation, wants to invite to regulars' tables, which were reintroduced under Heene. "It's more about getting to know each other," said the 60-year-old in front of the 24 visitors – 20 of whom are eligible to vote. "We're trying our best," he said, not hiding the fact that he only stepped in after much deliberation when Heene announced to the board that she was no longer available. "But I can well imagine that with the team," said Lübeck.

In addition to the three deputies already mentioned, it includes Florian Kleber, previously secretary, who is now the new treasurer, the 27-year-old policeman Philipp Streck, previously an assessor who takes over the secretary, and Florian Oberhofer (29) as the new digital officer. The extended board consists of the assessors Renate Losert, Michael Bischeltsrieder, Hannelore Doch, Susanne Plesch, Ugur Basaran, Hans-Peter Konradt, Konrad Wünsch and Eberhard-Hans Stark as one of the last of the old guard, which also includes former mayor Adolf Wexlberger. The latter, at the age of 87, still follows every gathering with interest, if he can. This was also the case on Wednesday. In addition, after auditors, delegates and substitute delegates were elected for the elections to the district association on June 16, there was almost no one left who went home without office.
