A 5-year-old girl was found dead with her throat slit at her parents' home in Courbevoie (Hauts-de-Seine) on the night of Thursday 11 to Friday 12 May, Le Figaro learned from police source. Contacted, the Nanterre prosecutor's office tells us to have opened an investigation for murder, entrusted to the judicial police of Hauts-de-Seine (SDPJ92).
Neighbors of an opulent building in Courbevoie called the police after hearing screams and seeing the girl's mother rush out of her 2nd floor apartment. The latter then took refuge with a neighbour.

The 40-year-old father refused to open the door of the apartment to the police officers who arrived at the scene. As they tried to force their way in, the man went to the balcony, his face bloody and a knife in his hand, before throwing himself into the void. Once entered, the police discovered the horror: the lifeless body of the couple's daughter with stab wounds to the neck. She was also reportedly drowned. Before jumping into the void, the father had indicated that the child was alive.
A context of separation
According to our information, this drama occurs in the context of a separation "very complicated" with the establishment of alternating custody. "The father was in misunderstanding and totally twisted," blows a police source. Police officers were reportedly previously called for marital disputes on April 30 and May 2.
The mother was apparently coming to pick up her daughter on the evening of the tragedy. The father was subject to a removal order and was forbidden to go to the family home and the commune of Courbevoie, said a source to AFP, adding that "multiple complaints" for non-presentation of child and for violence had been filed by both parents. The mother, hospitalized in shock, and the father, hospitalized in a serious condition with a life-threatening prognosis, have not yet been heard by investigators.
