Hamburg – Call of Duty is coming in 2023 and is supposed to continue the popular predecessor Modern Warfare 2 directly. Insiders now know virtually all the important dates, release times and even reveal how CoD: MW3 will be linked to Warzone 2. Here is everything about the new map, of which even pictures are already available.

Call of Duty 2023 will be Modern Warfare 3 - New leaks reveal more about Warzone 2
So CoD MW3 after all? First there was no new Call of Duty in 2023, but now, in May 2023, it is virtually confirmed that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (or CoD: MW3 for short) is coming. The latest part is supposed to be a direct successor to MW2 from 2022 and probably continue the story.
CoD MW3 leaked several sources in recent weeks. Jason Schreier, Tom Henderson and Insider Gaming - all proven sources - unofficially confirm the development of the new Call of Duty for 2023. Most recently, it was revealed on May 11 that Modern Warfare 3 will be the name of the previously unnamed CoD2023, which according to the leak will be released on November 10, 2023 and will even bring a new map for Warzone 2.
New MW3 map for Warzone 2: The in-house CoD-BR will also be further developed in 2023 (and probably 2024). On December 5, Warzone 2 will get a new, large map. Insiders have already revealed the name "Las Almas" as well as the complete layout. Here's a first look at the new Warzone map:
Las Almas translates as "souls" and is the name of a Mexican cartel in the "Modern Warfare" series. The new map for Warzone 2 also looks very much like a desert region in Mexico on the leaked screenshots. It is arguably the home of the cartel. By the way, December 5, 2023 will also be the start of Season 1 of Warzone 2 and CoD: MW3.
When is revelation? The importance of the partnership between Warzone 2 and CoD: MW3 is also shown by the big reveal of the new Call of Duty. Because as early as August 2023, a major live event is scheduled to take place in Warzone 2, revealing Modern Warfare III.

These are the leaked release times: Industry insiders Tom Henderson, Jason Schreier and other sources have unanimously revealed almost the complete release plan of CoD:MW3. The times sound plausible and fit the releases of the last few years. Keep in mind, however, that publisher Activision has not yet made any official dates. Fans of Call of Duty should mark these dates in the calendar in 2023:
- August 1, 2023: CoD 2023 reveal event live in Warzone 2
- October 6 - 10, 2023: Beta for the new Call of Duty (PlayStation exclusive)
- October 12 - 16, 2023: Open Beta for the new Call of Duty
- November 2, 2023: Early Access
- November 10, 2023: Call of Duty 2023 release date
- December 5, 2023: new "Las Almas" map for Warzone 2 and Season 1 in CoD:MW3
