Two men may suffer permanent damage after a visit to a folk festival in Bavaria. The manhunt for an unknown person is ongoing.
Ansbach - In a violent beer tent brawl in Ansbach, an unknown person seriously injured two men. Two others were slightly injured, police said on Saturday (13 May).
Seriously injured after dispute at Ansbach Spring Festival: Men suffer massive cuts
At the Ansbach Spring Festival, according to the information, there was a dispute on Friday evening around 23 p.m. for unknown reasons, which developed into a push. The stranger is said to have hit a man's head with his beer mug. With the remains of the broken jug, he punched another in the face.
In a subsequent scuffle, two other men were slightly injured. The two seriously injured, aged 30 and 45, suffered massive cuts to their necks and heads, and the police do not rule out permanent damage, it said. However, there was no danger to life.
Manhunt for unknown perpetrator underway
One of the two seriously injured had to be taken to hospital by helicopter. The unknown perpetrator fled the scene, and the police are now searching for him at full speed. This year's Ansbach Spring Festival will take place from 12 to 18 May. (dpa/lks)
