Chris Harms represented Germany with Lord Of The Lost at the ESC 2023. There are public recordings of his wife, son and parents. There was also an intimate revelation.

Update from May 13, 2023: It is commonly known that Lord Of The Lost frontman Chris Harms is married to tattoo artist Anja and the two have a son together named Mika (see original article below). Shortly before the ESC, however, he revealed a private secret to Bild: He was with a man for a month when he was 18. "He reminded me of the models from the Jean Paul Gaultier advertisement at the time," he still enthuses about the Greek Aris.

Chris Harms continued: "I could never do anything with male stereotypes. And I was always labeled with the sentence: 'Chris, you're gay anyway.' I also wanted to have experiences with my own gender, at least try it out." But after a month it was over again, and now the Hamburg native has his little family.

His mom was a model! German ESC singer of Lord Of The Lost shows wife, son and parents

Our article from May 2, 2013: Hamburg – A lot of make-up and gaudy clothes: Lord Of The Lost stand out. And they want to do the same for Germany on May 13 at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023. Visually as well as musically as with their song "Blood & Glitter". But what is behind the façade? And who is singer Chris Harms? What many people don't know is that the glam rocker is an outspoken family man in his private life.

"In many ways, I'm probably the opposite of what you'd expect if you only know me from the stage or from videos and photos," Chris Harms told t-online. He is calm and level-headed off stage. The 43-year-old spends his free time with his son, abstaining from alcohol, drugs and meat consumption.

ESC band Lord Of The Lost: Singer Chris Harms showed son Mika on Facebook

Chris Harms also showed his son – now eleven – in a Facebook photo three years ago. The two posed together in rocker outfits, Chris Harms wrote "The apple doesn't fall far from the tree" and dedicated a hashtag to his son. There the name of Harms junior could be learned: Mika is the name of the boy.

ESC band Lord Of The Lost: singer Chris Harms married to tattoo artist Anja

The name of Chris Harms' wife is also well known: he is married to Anja. She also accompanies him to events and poses with him for photographers, for example in March 2023 at the "German Music Authors' Award 2023". That's where the photo below comes from. Depending on the length of their sleeves, you can see at first glance a common passion of the spouses: tattoos! Anja has made this hobby her profession – she works as a tattoo artist. The small family lives in Hamburg-St. Pauli.

ESC band Lord Of The Lost: Parents of singer Chris Harms also show themselves in public

Chris Harms also spoke about personal matters on the couch in the NDR talk DAS!. He is probably not one of those people who keep private things under lock and key, but deals with them quite openly. And why not? "I wanted to be a doctor," he revealed. "I started with nail polish when I was 14 or 15, I was a huge Roxette fan and I still am." When I came of age, came the hard music – and gradually began his career. Of course, his parents were skeptical at first, but they supported their offspring, came to his concerts, and supported him when the success didn't really want to ignite. His mother was a model in the 60s and 70s, he reveals. Chris Harms' parents are also willing to show themselves in public – for example in this video for the band's Facebook page:

His parents will watch the ESC "relaxed in front of the TV", according to Chris Harms. The rest of his family is coming to Liverpool with him and is there. In the NDR, Chris Harms is also thinking about an ESC tattoo. Will his wife Anja stab him? She now swings the needle with her Chris, but his first tattoos were not from her. "I was already tattooed when I met her." He was already "quite colorful" at that time, "now she is much more colorful than me". His eleven-year-old son Mika will also be allowed to get a tattoo one day, if he wants to. "Who would we be if we said, 'You're not allowed to do that now.'" Of course, only when he is fully grown, Harms emphasizes. And maybe not right on the forehead.

ESC band Lord Of The Lost: Son is so proud of singer Chris Harms

A moving ESC moment for the Lord Of The Lost singer also has to do with his child. "When we won the preliminary round, the first thing I did was: I left the stage, called my son, he was still awake. He was on the phone in tears and said, 'Dad, I'm so proud.' Tears welled up from my eyes, that's what you usually say to your child as a dad. He couldn't even speak in tears because he was so proud." Will Chris Harms and Lord Of The Lost give the little one in Liverpool another reason for this? An ESC expert has also thought about this. Germany is keeping its fingers crossed. Chris Harms has published a bizarre sleep photo from his tour. (lin)
