Carrefour announces a second recall in less than a week and is collecting certain series of chocolates from shelves due to an incorrect label regarding allergens in some products.

Carrefour, which opened its branches in Israel this week to great fanfare, announces a second recall of the product in its branches. Following a consumer complaint, it was found that due to a specific malfunction, a label that does not include a soy allergen was affixed to a number of products.

Product names in the recall

Dark chocolate, 200g Brand: Carrefour Manufacturer: Samui Chocolatier SAS France, Importer: Bitan Wines Ltd. Barcode 3560071006327, all expiration dates until 01/2025 inclusive. If you have a later expiration, there is no concern about soy in the product.

Excellent milk chocolate with whole hazelnuts, 3 pcs of 1 00g Brand: Carrefour Manufacturer: Samui Chocolatier SAS France, Importer: Bitan Wines Ltd. Barcode 3245412211409, all expiration dates until 01/2024 inclusive. If you have a later expiration, there is no concern about soy in the product.

Excellent milk chocolate, 3 pcs of 100gBrand: Carrefour Manufacturer: Samui Chocolatier SAS France, Importer: Bitan Wines Ltd. Barcode 3245412211393, all expiration dates until 07/2024 inclusive. If you have a later expiration, there is no concern about soy in the product. Consumers who have allergies to milk, soy, gluten, nuts: cashews, pecans, hazelnuts, pistachios and almonds are asked not to consume it.

Carrefour wishes to emphasize that the products are normal and safe for consumption for those who are not allergic to these allergens. "All Carrefour products undergo a long series of rigorous tests in the supply chain process, in order to ensure their quality in all respects," they said. "Carrefour works in coordination with the food service at the Ministry of Health, Central District, and collects the product from marketing methods."
