Once again, a bear was spotted in Upper Bavaria. A wildlife camera had captured this. This worries local residents.
Schneizlreuth - Once again, a bear has been detected, this time in the district of Berchtesgadener Land. Already at the beginning of the week, an animal was detected in the western district. Whether it is the same animal is currently still unclear, said the State Office for the Environment.

Bear captured with wildlife cameras in Upper Bavaria: "He was close"
"The bear was spotted on two wildlife cameras," said Wolfgang Simon, first mayor of the municipality of Schneizlreuth. A citizen had been with him, had shown photos on the mobile phone. A local hunter then confirmed what local residents fear: "The bear was close." For Mayor Simon, one thing is clear: "If the bear gets too close to humans and is no longer shy, then it's problematic." It is a local tourism region. People from the region would also come to ride their bikes, go for a walk and enjoy nature.

"I can imagine that a bear reacts differently than desired in a so-called encounter battle, without being at fault." Presumably, the bear is passing through. Only recently, the same bear may have been photographed not far from the municipality of Schneizlreuth. Experts will now assess the situation.
