Kaufering/Denklingen – That was a Friday to forget for Landesliga football club Kaufering and Bezirksliga club Denklingen. Both teams came under floodlights badly under the wheels.

VfL Kaufering conceded five in the 1-5 (1-2) home game against league leaders 1. The goal of honour was scored by winter signing Florent Sekiraqa (21st). "They're the best team in the league, they belong in the Bayernliga. In the end, we have to be happy that it only ended 1-5," said coach Ben Enthart after the second slap of the season against the Allgäuers, who had already won the first leg 6-0 in October. The first half was evenly balanced, but after the break the dominance was simply too great," said Enthart, who will officially only sit on the VfL bench twice. However, it is possible that a third game will be added – if the abandonment game against TSV Gilching-Argelsried is rescheduled by the sports court. Kaufering has already lodged a protest against a first verdict (repetition). Possible date for the replay: in the middle of next week, as the season ends on May 27th.

VfL have to play again today, Wednesday. At 19 p.m., they will play on their own pitch against the second team of Regionalliga champions SpVgg Unterhaching. A game of no importance, because the games of the Hachinger are not scored. On weekends, Kaufering is free to play.

Under the wheels

VfL Denklingen also came under the wheels: 0:4 at the U23 of Bayernliga club FC Deisenhofen. "The first half was good," said coach Markus Ansorge, "we were able to keep the 0-0 draw and could even have taken the lead through Simon Ried. But then Deisenhofen substituted three players from the Bayernliga A youth team and three from the first team squad. We do not have such possibilities. Their quality was simply too high, so things went too fast for us. So the defeat was deserved even at this level," the coach admits.

This means that Denklingen is still not sure of staying in the league, but with a five-point lead over relegation place 13 (SC Unterpfaffenhofen), nothing should burn. VfL can no longer be relegated directly. "To be mathematically quite sure, we still need a win, but I think it's enough," said Ansorge ahead of the last two games of the season against second-placed SpVgg Haidhausen (home game next Saturday at 14 p.m.) and third-placed SV Bad Heilbrunn (Whit Saturday, 15 p.m.). The VfL coach: "It's going to be two tough games, because both clubs are still fighting for second place in the relegation play-offs." 14. FC Garmisch-Partenkirchen has already been confirmed in the Bezirksliga Oberbayern Süd as champion and returnee to the Landesliga.
