Evelyn Marianela Portillo (25 years old) was with friends on the sidewalk, in Rafael Castillo, La Matanza district. Suddenly, from two motorcycles a burst of shots fell on the group. One of the shots wounded Evelyn in the back, who died while being rushed to hospital. Now, investigators have more evidence of the episode: the scene was recorded on video by the security camera of a house.
The episode occurred on Sunday around 2 in the morning, when the young woman was with her boyfriend and at least five other friends at the intersection of García Merou and Polledo streets. The area, of land taken, is known as "The New Union". Suddenly, from two motorcycles, four suspects opened fire on the group.
Before the attack, the friends fled desperately in different directions: three managed to open a door of bars and entered the house from which the video was taken; The rest ran to the right.

Investigators, who now have video of the episode, ruled out that it was an attempted robbery. The strongest hypothesis is that it was a failed settling of scores, which targeted a known drug dealer in the area, in the framework of a confrontation between gangs that are dedicated to drug trafficking.
The victim's boyfriend managed to identify one of the attackers, nicknamed "Chuki."
The case is in the hands of prosecutor Karina Licalzi in charge of the Functional Unit of Instruction (UFI) Thematic Homicides of La Matanza.
Angered by the crime, some neighbors demonstrated Sunday night to demand justice for Evelyn. There were moments of tension, with projectiles thrown at the police and the burning of a security checkpoint 200 meters from where Evelyn was killed.
Demonstrators blocked the street and threw stones at the police headquarters and patrol cars. The police took refuge behind the vehicles and then left the scene. In the videos of the protest, almost 30 explosions of bulletscan be heard.
In addition, a group of neighbors set fire to a container that served as a sentry box for the police.
Evelyn was veiled this Monday morning, in a meeting in which the security claims were repeated. "There is no life, we do not own a family reunion or do anything, this has to end," Luján, a friend of the victim, told Radio Universidad.
