After having starred in a serious accident with his vehicle, where he even feared for his life, the striker of Central Córdoba of Santiago del Estero, Luis Miguel 'Pulguita' Rodríguez, traveled on Sunday to Catamarca to visit the Virgen del Valle in the Cathedral Basilica. This was his first public appearance after being discharged from intensive care.
In that province, the player was received by the rector of the temple Gustavo Flores, who took a photo that went viral. Rodriguez came to the altar of the Virgin to thank her, not only for her quick recovery, but for having saved her life. In the Cathedral and Sanctuary, the striker acknowledged that he "continues to move forward in his recovery."

Rodriguez overturned on April 30 with his truck on Provincial Route 157, in Tucumán, an incident that caused him to be fired from the vehicle and suffer serious injuries to his face. After being admitted to intensive care at the Padilla hospital, El Pulga was transferred to a private sanatorium.
There he underwent a four-hour operation. "The patient is currently undergoing the immediate postoperative period of a complex maxillofacial surgery," said the medical report, which added: "He was operated on by a multidisciplinary team in charge of the head and neck service of our Institution. He is stable, lucid, with permanent monitoring by the medical team and in the company of his relatives."
Manuel Usandivaras, the doctor in charge of operating on the footballer, indicated that he should avoid jogging for at least the first 30 days, since the action generates an impact on the maxilla. However, you can do a stationary bicycle, so as not to lose muscle mass or do weights but moderately.
"In 30 or 45 days, depending on his evolution, he could return to normal training. An active athlete is going to recover faster than someone who does not have his physical condition, he may recover in less time than we are thinking, "said the doctor.
