Another hurdle has passed: the Finance Committee approved the state budget, and now only its passage in the second and third readings of the Knesset plenum remains between the coalition and the final approval of the state budget. The Knesset plenum will convene next week to approve the budget in its second and third readings.
The state budget will be NIS 484 billion for 2023 and NIS 514 billion for 2024.

Knesset Finance Committee Chairman Moshe Gafni said upon approving the budget:
"I thank everyone who dealt with the budget issue for a long time with great difficulty in terms of timetables, the legal counsel of the Knesset and the committee and the committee secretariat.
I am happy that after a while there is a budget for the State of Israel, this is of enormous importance to Israeli society and economy."
