Javier Milei predicted on Tuesday that the Frente de Todos will perform poorly in the province of Buenos Aires, if Governor Axel Kicillof finally decides to split the national elections.
"It would be the final death of Peronism, because it would end up making a terrible election that could lead to its disappearance, or as happened to the UCR," he said in a dialogue with FM Milenium.
Days ago, the Buenos Aires governor announced that he could split the general election to elect governor, senators, deputies and mayors in the main electoral district of Argentina.
"Our laws allow us to make the split choice," Kicillof said. And he added, to avoid criticism within Peronism, that "it is not opportunism."
"From our point of view, it is not a question of opportunism, but also to be able to discuss a little the model of the province of Buenos Aires, which is sometimes overshadowed by the national discussion," Kicillof said.
