The police have secured a blank gun and a baseball bat in Penzberg during an operation. A man had beaten up a vending machine with a baseball bat.
Penzberg – Several police officers had to move out to an operation in downtown Penzberg on Monday morning, May 15, at around 9 a.m. Witnesses had told police that a person with a baseball bat would hit a vending machine attached to a house wall on Philippstraße. According to police, after the man had left, shots were also heard in the building.
Police take 30-year-old into custody
When the police were on the scene, they were able to stop a 30-year-old Penzberger outside the building. During the subsequent search of the building, a baseball bat and two alarm guns with ammunition were seized from him, according to police. Since the man was under the influence of narcotics, the police continued, he was taken into custody. He is now facing criminal charges for various offenses.
According to the police, no one was injured or threatened
No one was injured or threatened in the incident. As a precaution, the police had cordoned off Philippstraße in the area for cars and pedestrians.
