Eight parliamentary by-elections have been held since the installation of the National Assembly in the sixth legislature. After Yvelines, Charente, Pas-de-Calais, Marne and Ariège, three elections took place in three of the eleven constituencies bringing together French people living outside France.
The three incumbents were all re-elected hands down: the Renaissance Éléonore Caroit was confirmed in the 2nd constituency which, from Mexico to Chile, includes thirty-three Latin American countries. UDI Meyer Habib, affiliated with the LR group, won his fourth victory in the 8th constituency which includes Israel, the Palestinian Territories, Turkey and part of southern Europe (Italy, Greece). Finally, Karim Ben Cheikh, from the Génération.s party and member of the Ecologists-Napes group, retained the 9th constituency covering the Maghreb and West Africa.
