"You're going to be homeless, we're going to take your house, we're going to steal everything, we're going to shoot you." With this threat, five brothers members of a clan known as "Los Marola" tried to usurp at the beginning of the year the house of a neighbor in the sector of the buildings on Bonorino Avenue, in Villa 1-11-14 of Bajo Flores.

There were shouts, kicks, pineapples, insults. The owner of the house ended up injured and her daughter was also threatened. "To you asshole of shit when I catch you outside we are going to shit you with sticks," they shouted at him as they tried to "ortiba" his mother.

"Los Marola", a clan integrated into its hard core by Sandro González, his wife and their five children, are the protagonists of the main acts of violence registered in the sector of the Padre Ricciardelli neighborhood delimited by Bonorino, Calle 10, Ana María Janer, Avenida Riestra, Charrúa and Pasaje sin nombre.

The attack and attempted usurpation of February 8 was not an isolated event, far from it. Just look at the videos and photos that the group proudly hangs on their social networks.

One of the ways in which the clan sent messages to their rival gangs is by posting their arsenal on the networks.

"This association has as its main activity the commercialization of narcotic material in the narcomenudeo modality and to maintain that activity – in addition to carrying firearms – they threaten neighbors and rival gangs to vacate their homes and take them for the collection of drugs and weapons, "says the fiscal opinion that gave rise to the 40 raids and the 11 arrests registered this Tuesday morning, among them 4 members of the clan.

Some 600 gendarmes participated in the mega-operation, ordered jointly by Buenos Aires Judge Natalia Molina and Investigating Judge Mariano Iturralde.

With their faces uncovered and with weapons, this is how "Los Marola" are shown in their networks.

The ruling was the product of a joint effort between the City Prosecutor's Office and the Attorney General's Office. That is why it bears the signatures of Silvana Russi – of the Prosecutor's Office of Instruction 43 – Diego Iglesias – head of the Prosecutor's Office of Narcocriminality (Procunar) – and Cecilia Amil Martín, prosecutor of the Specialized Fiscal Unit in the Investigation of Crimes Linked to Narcotics (Ufeide) of the Buenos Aires Public Ministry.

For prosecutors, the head of the illicit association is Sandro González (46), alias "El Intendente," who is seconded by his wife, María Laura Benítez (43) and their children Agustín (23), Jonathan (21), Jésica (28), Gustavo (26) and Belén (19). All are accused of drug dealing, threats, and injuries.

In the operation on Tuesday, Sandro, the woman, Agustín and Jonathan, who was escaping through the roofs, were imprisoned. They seized a kilo of cocaine and 500 rounds of ammunition.

The clan is accused of selling drugs in the form of drug trafficking.

Who are "Los Marola"

Identified by the nickname that someone once gave to the first "Marola" (today the grandfather of the clan), "Los Marola" have a hard core and their small army of soldiers. Although they began as "jets" and asphalt pirates, it is said that today they control an entire sector of the town, where they do what they want and walk around with machine guns as if nothing.

A murga that responds to them, called "The Authentic Kings of Rhythm", came to the police pages twice. In January 2016 she was shot with rubber poles by the Gendarmerie.

The clan has an "army of little soldiers".

Its founder, Sandro González – the father of the clan – received ten rubber bullets in the back and one of his sons, then 14, was also injured. In March of that same year the murga was attacked by a group of hooded men.

In early February, the clan hit the headlines once again after a 4-year-old girl died in the middle of a vendetta against the clan.

"Los Marola" usually meet at the corner of Bonorino and 10th Street inside Villa 1-11-14.

"Los Marola" usually meet at the corner of Bonorino and 10th Street, inside Villa 1-11-14. The day they killed the girl they were there, taking and displaying their wide range of weapons on their Facebook profiles. The hypothesis is that his enemies saw the posts and went after them.

They say in the neighborhood that "Los Marola" had arrived that same night from the Atlantic Coast and that they would not have gone only on vacation, but that they moved away from the neighborhood to cool the spirits after an attack that they had carried out in the neighboring Barrio Illia against a rival clan, "Los Cabrales".

The gang frightens the neighbors by showing weapons and threatening them.

That episode occurred on Tuesday, January 24 at 22:50 p.m. in Barros Pazos and Tenorio, Sector 5 of Barrio Illia. There, two men allegedly linked to "Los Cabrales" were shot.

What happened on Tuesday 7 would have been revenge for that attack that, in addition, is part of a history of crossed revenge. An example: on May 19, 2022, Alexander Abraham Cabral was murdered. "Los Cabrales" always targeted "Los Marola" for this crime.

The clan controls an entire sector of the village, where they do what they want and walk around with machine guns as if nothing had happened.
