Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine sees the Croisette from her Parisian office: a photo of her first visit to the festival as a journalist sits on her table. That was in May 2007. In the photograph, she is also at the side of a certain Pierre Lescure. Both were then working for the Paris Première show "Ça balance à Paris".

The two acolytes accompany, fifteen years later, the relocation of "C à vous". For two weeks, Cannes film news will be invited on the ephemeral set of the show, above the port. As we speak, Bertrand Chameroy runs the Croisette in search of funny images. Patrick Cohen will join the team from Thursday to Monday. Mohamed Bouhafsi, 26 and 27 May. On the program, this Wednesday, of the first issue: Jeanne du Barry de Maïwenn and a tribute rendered, at the beach cinema, to Jean-Pierre Bacri by Toledano and Nakache.

LE FIGARO. - What will this Cannes "C à vous" look like?
Anne-Élisabeth LEMOINE. - To the show we do every day! The political, social, sporting news will be treated from Paris, then we will take over here for the cultural news: the summary of the marches, the life of the festival seen by Pierre, the chronicle of Bertrand who will thwart the codes of Cannes ... If the scenery changes, the DNA of the program is fully preserved. That of a welcome program, which does not take itself too seriously, which accompanies.

We have the feeling of a growing power in the partnership between France Télévisions and the festival.
It's not easy to relocate a show like "C à vous". You have to be sure of yourself. There is, behind such a decision, a real editorial issue. The partnership is gradually developing. France Télévisions took its marks last year, before embarking this year its antenna in a more massive way. But we decided to go down only what was necessary. There was no question of everything "C à vous" settling in Cannes. The part focused on general news did not need it. We should not give the idea that, when the Cannes Film Festival starts, everything else disappears.

"We are not obsessed with international stars"

Anne-Élisabeth Lemoine

Pierre Lescure, who left the presidency of the festival last year, must be happy to return to Cannes as a journalist.
I have always seen him happy to deal with a news, whatever it is! He has a lot of experience, hindsight, but his enthusiasm remains intact, like a young journalist. Pierre, who will be in "C à vous" but will also shoot a "Beautiful gesture" in Cannes, went to see many Cannes films at screenings reserved for the press in recent weeks: he talked to me about it, gave me his feeling, without ever a touch of regret or bitterness.

Will being on the Croisette facilitate the arrival of international stars?
No doubt, but we already receive them regularly in "C à vous"! We are not obsessed with international stars. What we are looking for is a statement. Jeanne du Barry, for example, shows the place of women in 18th century society. This echoes the questions that MeToo asks about the place of women in our time. The arrival of Toledano and Nakache will be an opportunity to talk about the "Rencontres du Papotin". Cannes is not just about jewelry and parties. We scanned the selections beforehand to better treat the festival, without focusing on the official selection. And, of course, we will remain attentive: the event can hold many surprises.

Will this be the first time that "C à vous" will have an audience?
A real first! When I walk around, people who compliment the show do so because they like the team. This time, she is the one who comes to them. They will see that our complicity is not feigned. This will remind me, for my part, of memories of "The Special Edition", on Canal +, which had an audience. I also experienced this when I worked with Marc-Olivier Fogiel. The public can be a real support.

Bertrand Chameroy manages in his columns to put you in particularly comical situations. What will it be inCannes!
When Bertrand, always full of discoveries and energy, offers us his ideas, we are fully with him! We do what we can, with our means, but always with a lot of heart - which I think our viewers appreciate. We're not going to turn into Vogue or Vanity Fair!
