At least two people were treated for bee stings after a honeycomb went out of control Tuesday in Encino, California.
A video captured from a helicopter shows a volunteer from the Los Angeles Police Department being surrounded by bees. The man tries to flee and falls to the ground, trying to cover his face.
Authorities said the volunteer was taken to the hospital and treated for more than a dozen stings but is in stable condition.
Police turned to a bee expert who managed to remove and relocate the honeycomb to a new location. It is not yet clear how the animals settled in the neighborhood until they reached a significant number.
