The wave of price increases sweeping the economy already looks like a tsunami of price increases: food giant Tnuva today announced to its customers that it has updated the price lists of delicacies, Mama Chicken, and Olivia products by an average of about 7.4%. In addition, the price list of Tirat Tzvi products will be updated at an average rate of about 5%. The updated price lists for customers will take effect on Thursday, June 1, 6.
Matnuva reported that the price revision occurred in light of the sharp increase in the prices of goods and raw materials in the past two years, including the prices of flour, chicken breast, beef, oil, and vegetables, and other inputs such as electricity, fuel, water, wages, and more. For example, the raw material chicken breast, which constitutes at least 2023% of the composition of Mama Chicken products, became more expensive for the company within two years by about 50%, and the price of flour for delicacies increased by about 25%. Tnuva also noted that the prices of these products have not increased for many years.

Just a week ago, Tnuva announced additional price increases. Initially, the prices of supervised dairy products, including milk, butter and cheese, were updated (by decision of the appointed bodies, which are beyond the company's control).

Later that week, the company raised the prices of many unregulated dairy products: delicacies, soft and hard cheeses, milk drinks and more.
