The revised development plan for the northern station area on Landsberger Straße is about to be finalized. The planning and building committee has now approved the design and thus initiated the public interpretation.
Germering – By and large, this is the replanning of the area where the Grollmus furniture store used to stand – it was demolished last year. An educational quarter with an integrated co-working center is to be built on the site. It is being built by the Digiatles leben foundation of Docuware founder Jürgen Biffar and start-up entrepreneur Benedict Padberg. The new building will also house the Digi-Club. In another building, which belongs to the city, the new office of the adult education center, among other things, is to move in.

The deputy head of the building authority, Gabriele Mühl, presented the plans to the committee. Above all, she pointed out a change in the development. In the future, it will be possible to enter the farm road from Landsberger Straße shortly before the site. The access road is already open but has been secured with barriers.
The area is defined in the development plan as an "urban area". This means that only commercial, social and cultural uses are permitted on the ground floor of the new buildings, which do not significantly disturb the residential use. Apartments are allowed only on the upper floors. A green façade and roof has also been determined – according to Mühl at the request of the client himself.
