A concert full of emotions with the most beautiful works of Vivaldi, Bach, Caccini, Bizet in one of the most beautiful cities of the French Riviera. On Friday, at 20:30 pm, the Ensemble Musicâme France will take over the Basilica of St-Michel Archangel in Menton for a great classical concert in chamber music.

Transhumance Festival in Saint-Valliers-de-Thiey

Transhumance is the periodic migration of livestock (cattle, cervids, equidae and sheep) between winter and summer pastures. Announcing the return of the summer season, this event has been celebrated for centuries in many valleys. The practice of transhumance was even included in the Inventory of French Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020.

On Sunday, it is the sheep who will reach the highlands of Saint-Vallier-de-Thiey, in the hinterland of Cannes. From 10am, the animals will be gathered at the Thiey space known as the "big meadow". Mowing demonstrations will take place until 15 p.m. Handicrafts stands, workshops and exhibitions will keep visitors busy throughout the day. And the greediest will be able to eat grills prepared on site in a friendly atmosphere. The start of the transhumance is scheduled for 17pm.
