Deutsche Telekom has now set its sights on the municipality of Oberschleissheim and is planning super-fast connections for local residents.
Oberschleissheim – The fibre optic expansion for Oberschleissheim has begun. Very soon, around 140 households and businesses in the districts of Badersfeld and Hochmutting will be able to use Deutsche Telekom's fiber-optic network. The realisation for the wider municipal area will follow successively.
Deutsche Telekom builds lines with up to one gigabit per second. Companies can also book business customer tariffs up to 100 Gbit/s. This gives customers a super-fast connection for digital learning and working, streaming and gaming, all at the same time. "The fiber optic cable doesn't come into the house on its own. Customers have to open the door for us in the truest sense of the word so that they can participate in the gigabit society," says Bernhard Multerer, Municipal Consultant for Fiber Optic at Deutsche Telekom. Without an order, the building cannot be connected, and the fiber optics then only run past the building in the street.
"Fast Lane Fibre Weeks" from 22 May
If you decide to have a fibre optic connection at a later date, you will have to pay the costs yourself. From May 22, the "Fast Lane Fiber Weeks" will start in the Telekom shops in order to secure the fiber optic connection before the excavator." Mayor Markus Böck emphasizes the importance: "Fiber optics is the key technology for our digital society. The new network increases the attractiveness of our municipality. It ensures its future viability as a residential and business location." The municipality of Oberschleissheim and Deutsche Telekom are working closely together on the expansion. Transparency and professional construction site management are the top priorities. In order to keep the disruption to local residents as low as possible, individual construction phases will be carried out. Mm
