Javier Mascherano is facing the great challenge of his incipient career as a coach: the U20 World Cup that will begin in Argentina this Saturday, after the disappointing performance of his debut in the South American category. But before he relaxed in the streaming of the AFA and told an unmissable anecdote between his son Bruno and Lionel Messi.
Among so many topics he touched, the Little Boss did not miss a funny anecdote involving his 6-year-old son and the best player in the world. As he confessed, Bruno is a great admirer of La Pulga, although little did he know about his father's success as a footballer.
"He realized recently that his dad played soccer. And then he started with wanting to take a picture with Messi. He sent him a message and Leo told him to go home after Christmas," he said about how the meeting was conceived.
He continued: "When I took him I couldn't believe it. 'Is it real? Really?' I wondered. Imagine he stared at it for half an hour, 40 minutes."

"Now he sends audios to Chiqui Tapia asking him when he can come to the venue to take pictures with the World Cup," added the coach of the U20.
Argentina's path to the U20 World Cup
The Argentina U20 team is in the final stretch of its preparation for the World Cup that will begin this Saturday with the match between Mascherano's team and Uzbekistan.
Despite having got its ticket as an organizer – before the loss of Indonesia – and not through the South American, the Albiceleste arrives on the rise to the youth tournament, since it got two victories in the friendlies against the Dominican Republic (4-0) and Japan (2-1).
Argentina will now seek the seventh title in its history but the first since 2007, when it defeated the Czech Republic.
The competition will take place in the country from May 20 to June 11, 2023 and in the group stage the selected will cross with Uzbekistan, on Saturday 20 at 18 in Santiago del Estero, with Guatemala, on Tuesday 23 at 18 in Santiago, and with New Zealand, on Friday 26 at 18 in San Juan.
