Since Thursday morning, there have been protest actions at various locations, the police announced. The spokesperson of the climate group, Carla Hinrichs, will be there. She is protesting once again on the streets of Berlin. "We are not completely at the mercy of these life-threatening changes, but we initiate them ourselves, so we can end the spiral of escalation," she said in a statement from the "Last Generation".

"Surrounded by floods, droughts and fires, we celebrate Father's Day today. I cannot stand this absurdity, this hypocrisy, which is why I am sitting here today. Unfortunately, there is not the slightest reason to celebrate if my son has no prospect of a future worth living," said another activist who glued himself to Hohenzollerndamm.

However, sticking to the street is not the only form of protest that the climate group chooses. On Berlin's Kurfürstendamm, they smeared several luxury shops with paint. (vk/dpa)
