The roof truss of a residential building in the municipality of Münsing (Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district) caught fire early Thursday morning. Around 100 firefighters were deployed.
Münsing - In the case of a fire in the municipality of Münsing (district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen), the roof truss of a residential building went up in flames on the night of Father's Day. Stefan Kießkalt, spokesman for the district fire inspection, draws an initial balance: At 1.46 a.m. on Thursday, the sirens and radio signal receivers of the fire brigades howled due to the fire in a residential building in Münsing. A fire was reported in a building that spreads from the ground floor over the façade into the roof. When the fire brigade arrived, the report was confirmed. The fire had already spread to the roof truss.
Flame inferno on Father's Day - Two firefighters injured in operation in Münsing
The head of operations immediately had operational sections formed and an extinguishing attack via two turntable ladders, an external attack with a C-pipe and a squad with breathing apparatus fought against the flames in an internal attack. However, the destruction of the attic apartment and the burning out of the roof truss could no longer be fully prevented.

After about two hours, according to Kießkalt, "fire out" could be reported and the last embers were extinguished. Subsequently, safety measures were carried out on the building and an emergency roof was installed. During the extinguishing work, two firefighters were slightly injured, one of whom was transported to a clinic for clarification. Three residents of the house were examined and cared for on site by the emergency services.
The passage through the village had to be completely closed due to the extinguishing operation
According to the spokesman for the district fire inspection, 110 firefighters and 30 firefighters from the rescue service and the BRK's rapid deployment groups from Wolfratshausen and Geretsried were deployed. Property damage cannot be quantified by the fire brigade. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the police. During the operation, which lasted until the morning, the Münsing thoroughfare was completely closed. (cce)
