Surprisingly, the Tramway Automotive Union announced a collective strike from midnight this Friday throughout the country to pressure in the middle of the wage negotiation. The Ministry of Labor has not yet issued mandatory conciliation.
"The measure of force is pushed by those who have the responsibility of solving the serious crisis in which they are putting transport, for all the 'harmful' effects they cause, affecting the 10 million daily users of the AMBA and 9 million in the interior of the country," says the statement of the guild headed by Roberto Fernández.
And he adds: "Seriously putting public safety at risk, so it will be the sole responsibility of the business sector, the highest authorities of the Ministry of Transport of the Nation, those responsible for Transport in the Provinces and the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires for the lack of the wage agreement. Earlier the Blue List of the UTA, a dissident fraction of the union, had announced a strike for this Friday as part of the rejection of the impediment of assumption of five secretariats in the interior of the country and due to "the lack of responses" of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and Social Security.
However, that fraction then announced that it was lifting the measure of force and after 19 this Thursday came the statement calling for a strike of the official union.
The national government could dictate the mandatory conciliation and in that case the union would comply and lift the measure of force that in principle would start in less than five hours.
