Later in the show - after the interview of Benoît Magimel, the interpretation of the title Qu'importe by Juliette Armanet and the arrival of Michel Denisot - it is the turn of the comedian Jarry to make his entrance. And not just any entry. Mask and snorkel around his neck, fins on his feet, he wears an orange, black and gray tricolor diving suit. Somewhat encumbered by his one-night shoes, he struggles to climb the few steps that separate him from Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. Blocked by the security guard, he insists: "Babeth !!!" calls out to the comedian. "No, but let me pass, I know her! I went out with her for a year, she's an ex!" The man in the suit resists to finally clear the way on the orders of the presenter.

"My ex Babeth"
The whole scene, to be taken with second degree, has the merit of making all the guests laugh. "A very elegant arrival," says Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine before asking Jarry what he is doing here. The sequence, perfectly played and orchestrated, is actually there to promote the comedian's latest show entitled "Bonhomme". "I live in Cannes. I was fishing, I saw light, I saw my ex Babeth."
Rather than sitting around the square, like all the guests present that evening, he took the place of Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine. While the presenter finishes her launch, Jarry has fun taking selfies with his phone. Webbed feet stretched out on the table, he announces: "Welcome. You are of course France 5. Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine has just been thanked for her years of profession. I have the honor of hosting incredible artists." No more nonsense, Anne-Elisabeth Lemoine finally takes control of her show and closes this first week of the Cannes Film Festival with Bertrand Chameroy's ABC.
