They are slowly recovering from their serious injuries. This Thursday morning, in a pavilion of Ulis (Essonne), a 37-year-old man with psychological disorders had wounded four members of his family with a knife. Armed with a knife, he stabbed his sisters, aged 39 and 38, his mother, aged 68, and his father, aged 74. This Friday morning, according to several sources, their state of health has stabilized.
The three women have been out of danger since Thursday night. Victim of a pneumothorax, due to multiple wounds on the upper body, the father remains bedridden but he was able to "express himself this Friday morning," says a source close to the family. "He lost a lot of blood and had a small operation but it's getting better." This father, Jean-Gaston Mouhounou, is a municipal councillor in charge of digital mediation, intergenerational links and seniors in Les Ulis. He is an elected representative who has been committed to the Socialist Party and the commune for a long time.
The suspect is still hospitalized
As we revealed this Thursday morning, around 9:30 am, the suspect attacked his family with a knife at their home in the Curlew Alley. According to a source close to the investigation, neighbors first came across the bloodied victims, who called for help and collapsed in front of their home. An off-duty firefighter provided first aid.
When police arrived, the suspect holed up in a bedroom and attempted to set fire to the house. Various fireplaces lit by the madman were quickly extinguished. The man struggled and was arrested with difficulty: the police officers of the anti-crime brigade (Bac) of Massy-Palaiseau had to use a taser gun and two officers were slightly injured.
An investigation was opened for "attempted murder" and "attempted murder on ascendant" by the prosecutor's office of Évry-Courcouronnes. The perpetrator was hospitalized involuntarily in the psychiatric establishment of Grand Mesnil in Bures-sur-Yvette (Essonne). He had already stayed there and had left in November 2022 before returning home, according to a source close to the case. The thirty-year-old is already known to the justice for violence. "He will be made available to the investigators of the Massy-Palaiseau police station when his health allows him to be heard," says the prosecutor's office.
