New attempt to kidnap a minor, this time in Isère. A 53-year-old man was arrested and placed in custody Wednesday, suspected of trying to kidnap a 14-year-old girl, Le Figaro learned Friday, May 19 from judicial source, confirming information from the Dauphiné Libéré. His custody was extended Thursday night, we were told.
The facts begin in a commune of the Bièvre (Isère), while the girl leaves her college around noon. In front of the school is the fifty-year-old, in his vehicle, waiting for the teenager. The latter gets into the car. The investigation, entrusted to the gendarmes of Saint-Marcellin, will have to determine whether she settled there voluntarily or not.

The vehicle then drives towards Italy, where the man resides. Several minutes later, the girl pretends an urgent need. The suspect therefore stops at the rest area of Touvet, where the victim takes the opportunity to ask for the help of two people passing through. She also sends a text message to a friend to notify the authorities. The gendarmes finally proceed to the arrest of the fifty-year-old.
According to our colleagues from France Bleu, the alleged kidnapper knew the victim. It would be a friend of his parents. The teenager would have already filed a complaint against him, last year, after receiving child pornography images from him by message.
