The possibility that in the province of Buenos Aires vote on different dates of the national election set off alarms in the Buenos Aires caciques.

Axel Kicillof has already called the PASO (primary elections) for August 13 but has not yet called for the general election, which is the day where the governorship is defined but also the Buenos Aires intendencies as well as the formation of the provincial and municipal legislatures. Besides, it is worth remembering a fact: the gubernatorial election does not have a second round and the winner is defined even by one vote.

For this reason, several of the most powerful mayors of the suburbs attribute some of Kicillof's main collaborators as those who promote the split vote of the Nation. And they report that until they have already begun to prepare the possible tenders for the preparation of the ballots and the purchase of ballot boxes: it is that if the Province unfolded, all the electoral expenditure (millionaire), would have to be borne by the Buenos Aires coffers.

Wado de Pedro with Martín Insaurralde and Gustavo Menéndez in Merlo

These urban caciques have already made their position against the split known to the ears of Cristina Kirchner herself. Also of his son Máximo and this week, they talked with Wado de Pedro, national interior minister (portfolio where the national election operation is carried out) but also now installed as a presidential pre-candidate for Christianity.

This week began for several mayors the so-called "Operation Wado". That is, escort the presidential candidate to events in the municipalities. This Thursday, by the hand of Martín Insaurralde, de Pedro was in Merlo and Almirante Brown. There, they posed for the photo (as a way of making the support patent) Gustavo Menéndez, Peronist political leader of Merlo, and Mariano Cascallares, provincial deputy but cacique in Almirante Brown, who made use of the microphone in the act of delivery of a thousand netbooks in the local Sports Center.

These tours will continue in the districts of Malvinas Argentinas and San Vicente: this move with Wado is promoted by Martín Insaurralde, Mariano Cascallares, Gustavo Menendez, Andrés Watson (Florencio Varela), Leonardo Nardini (Malvinas Argentinas), Gastón Granados (Ezeiza) and by Federico Otermín, head of the provincial Legislature.

All this was resolved before Cristina Elisabet Kirchner's television appearance on Thursday. In the program "Duro de tammar", the vice president gave a textual that produced a shock in this cast: "I hope that the children of the decimated generation take the post." The phrase was read as an endorsement to Wado de Pedro (it is known that he is the son of disappeared) but also to Axel Kicillof, CFK's favorite politician.

In the environment of the vice president remember that in the act at the Maradona Stadium (former Único de La Plata) in November last year, she was alone on stage. But at the end of his speech, only two leaders were able to go up to greet: Wado and Axel. Now, in the close circles of these two leaders, they speculate that this gesture could be repeated on May 25, when CFK speaks (also as the only speaker) in the Plaza de Mayo.

Wado de Pedro in Almirante Brown with Mariano Cascallares: conurban tour in candidate mode of the CFK minister

Now, energized by the impulse to show themselves with Wado de Pedro in candidate mode in the province of Buenos Aires, the mayors of the First and Third electoral sections schedule more appearances with the minister but also, they will show their differences with the political actions of Axel Kicillof.

They see Carlos Bianco (the governor's right-hand man) as working with the idea of the Split, with a probable date: the first week of October. In some offices of the Kicillof administration they assure that the Vice President gave them her OK to prepare the scenario of an election on different dates. But that this would mean studying the likely scenario but not, a confirmation of that move.

The Peronist municipal caciques want Cristina to put a stop to this initiative, which they consider contrary to the historical spirit of Buenos Aires Peronism, to accompany in the national electoral fight. Another quote from CFK encouraged the group: "The important thing is to get into the runoff," he said. And there would be no way to achieve that (in a third-party scenario) if the Buenos Aires election is split.

Meanwhile, other players are betting that Cristina will allow a PASO and thus, be able to play. At the national level, that is what Agustín Rossi, the national cabinet chief, is playing at, who in hours will announce his launch as a presidential candidate. And Victoria Tolosa Paz, who wants a Primary in the Province. The national minister of development intends to be in the formula for the governorship, boosted in her high level of knowledge, to which she has contributed her public dispute with the leftist piqueteros, which Eduardo Belliboni guides.
