Highlights: Gaspar Offenhenden stars as Fito Páez in the new Netflix series El amor después del amor. The 12-year-old is a fan of Ferro Carril Oeste and plays the transverse flute. He grew up in Rosario with a mother who died when he was eight months old. Gaspar: "If you turn down the volume and you see the guy singing, there is a guy saying mom, mom,. put them mom"

He is 12 years old and shines in Netflix fiction. How he came to the role and other curiosities of life of a restless boy.

Gaspar Offenhenden's curlers have no possible comparison. Reason for permanent praise, they do not respond to the Maradonean analogy, nor to the Valderrama or Bruno Mars pattern. Curls of a symmetry and a unique hydration that were the first thing he had to give as an offering: "To be Fito Páez they dyed me black and one night I got up to go to the bathroom, I saw myself in the mirror and I was scared", he confesses. "I thought it was someone else. That was really funny."

Of German surname, 12 years old, neighbor of the border between Belgrano and Colegiales, fan of Ferro Carril Oeste, talkative, son of a lawyer and a business administrator, plays the transverse flute and spends much of his life in a primary school of double schooling.

In El amor después del amor (Netflix) he dazzles as the little Páez who lives in Rosario raised by father, grandmother, aunt and germinates in artist of La Trova rosarina. Despite her young age, she knew how to become flesh of that maternal absence. Fito already said it to the journalist Leila Guerriero: "If you turn down the volume and you see the guy singing, there is a guy saying mom, mom, mom. Get the letter out of them, put them mom: it works the same. How my mother is calling me to death in my self-destructive attacks."

If FP's childhood was crossed by that sore, that of his little Offenhenden seems the flip side, an oasis of maternal presence. The idea of being an actor was born two years ago, after watching Adam Sandler movies. He asked his mother to sign him up for an acting course and take him to castings. "A lot of people would send my mom the notice and say, 'Your kid has to do this.' And I went and stayed," he simplifies.

Did you know Fito before the series?

-Yes, because I went to a music workshop from the age of three and there we played songs and I was a very listened to artist. In the workshop I played the flute, but I could also play the piano, not songs with two hands, but with two fingers, I knew where the notes were located.

-How was the moment you found out you had won the role?

"They called my mom and dad and they didn't tell me until two days later, because they couldn't believe it. It was just in a match that Argentina and Brazil were playing for Qualifiers. They were 0-0, nothing happened, half bored, and they told me the news and I exploded. All emotions together at the same time. Afterwards, I had a coach who helped me manage the character. He got me to listen to Sui Generis, Charly, what Fito was listening to. And I had a piano coach who taught me how to position my fingers.

-What did you have to do in the casting?

-They had given me a text and after that they made me do an improvisation scene in which after I hit a boy I tell my dad "I could have killed him". It was pretty loud and I cried. I got excited. And I said to my mom, "I think I did well." Before we had sent photos, I did a zoom casting because we were in a pandemic. In that scene Fito was with his dad and he was fighting because he wanted to go to the beach and not to the mountains. The scene did not remain.

-What happens to you when the camera is turned on?

-I kind of get into character and I can't get out. I like it a lot.

-How did you imagine that Fito child to be?

I more or less thought of it as a boy who grew up with the sadness that his mother died at eight months. And you try to connect with the mother through the piano.

-Were you able to cross paths with him?

-Personally I did not know him, but I went to the Movistar Arena and it was great. I was that April 1st that they showed the trailer before the recital and I appeared on the screen. Everyone was applauding and I was shocked.

-What would you say to him if you had him in front of you?

-Fito: Did you like my work?

-Did they let you see only parts of the series?

"I saw it twice, almost everywhere. The part I couldn't see covered my eyes.

-The most difficult scene to film?

-The one that Fito eats the fruits and could neither breathe nor speak. It was my last scene, I took advantage of the sadness and in the first shot we filmed I started crying and coughing and everything came together.

-Do you like this about fame?

I like it, but it's not something that happens all the time. They can recognize me, but then I follow everything normal.

-You entered the world of work very young. Do you think about what to do with the money you earn?

I'm saving, but I'm not very interested in that.

"Gaspar was a long-awaited baby. Since he was a child who does activities related to music, we did a workshop for mothers and babies, he liked to be looked at, but being an actor I did not expect it, "says Veronica Gaibisso, his mother, linked to the world of Law and raised with the melodies of Páez.

She remembers her trip as graduates 'lying mucus' when the group embraced nostalgically to the rhythm of Brillante sobre el mic. She never imagined being united in this way to Rosario. "My son asked me to do theater and I told him to continue with the music workshop, that everything could not be done. I took him to the casting of a first series, Privier, which has not yet aired, and in which Gaspar has a participation, so that they told him no and it occurred to him to study programming, "he laughs. "I see acting as a space of happiness for him."

An applied student who says he feels "frustrated" if he does not achieve high grades, "Gaspi", as most call him, mainly enjoys "English and History classes". He defines himself as "outgoing, eager to make friends, to meet new people". In football he prefers to "be a defender", but his body needs "more than one sport": he practices handball, tennis and basketball.

Although Sandler is on his podium of favorite "colleagues", there are three surnames fighting head to head, "Darín, Francella, Campi". With Martín Campilongo, his father in fiction, he is now united by a friendship: "He was my example to follow. Oh, and I told you how I met the protagonist, Ivan Hochman?"

"I do theater at Nora Moseinco's and he teaches there. Once I had to make up a class, because I had missed and I went to one in which the teacher was Ivan. I got back in touch with that class, and right after we met at the production company. 'I'm the one who makes Fito great, I don't know you remember me,' he told me. It's very loving."

"Fito's favorite song? 11 and 6!", does not doubt that as a brooch to his seventh grade he will soon travel to Córdoba with his classmates.

Azul's older brother, Little Offenhenden will never forget the summer 2022 in which he had to hide from the sun: "My part was filmed on vacation and those in the production gave me rules. I had to have a white face, not burn myself, I went to the club with a long-sleeved shirt and cap, "he details as he goes through the newsroom and receives congratulations from each desk. If he is asked to imagine the future, he tells a wish in a low voice: "When I grow up I could be an actor, but also a journalist."
